Treyarch is developing a much-requested feature for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking. This functionality, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, much to the disappointment of players.
While a release date remains unannounced, the feature's development was confirmed via a recent Twitter interaction with fans. The news comes alongside a January 9th update addressing various bug fixes in multiplayer and zombies modes. This update also reversed a controversial change to Zombies' Directed Mode, restoring the original round timing after community feedback.
The addition of challenge tracking is highly anticipated, especially by players pursuing Mastery camos. It's expected to function similarly to Modern Warfare 3's implementation, providing a real-time in-game tracker for selected challenges.
Further bolstering player experience, Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for multiplayer and zombies modes, addressing another common player request. With Season 2 launching later this month, the hope is that these quality-of-life improvements will arrive soon.
