We Reviewed Both AMD Graphics Cards
Our team gave the AMD Radeon RX 9070 an impressive score of 8/10. Priced similarly to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, the RX 9070 outperforms it in most of our tested games and comes equipped with more VRAM (16GB vs 12GB), suggesting better future-proofing. In terms of power consumption, it matches the RTX 5070.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas:
"The AMD Radeon RX 9070 stands out as a top-tier 1440p graphics card, rendering the competition nearly obsolete. It delivers stellar 1440p performance, often reaching high-refresh rates without frame generation, and even includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. The only drawback is its proximity in performance to the Radeon RX 9070 XT."
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT received a perfect 10/10 from us. Despite being $150 cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, it surpasses it in several games, with some benchmarks showing significant gaps. Like the RX 9070, it has 16GB of VRAM. However, it does consume more power and runs hotter on average compared to the RTX 5070 Ti.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Review by Jacqueline Thomas:
"Since 2020, PC gaming has been on a luxurious decline, but the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT proves it doesn't have to be this way. This card can handle any game at 4K with ray tracing enabled, all at a price that makes other options seem exorbitant. While only time will tell if the launch price holds, one thing is clear: the industry needs more graphics cards like the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT."
