Assassin\'s Creed Windows 11 Issues Have Been Fixed

Recent Windows 11 updates caused compatibility problems for several Assassin's Creed titles. Ubisoft has addressed this issue with patches for Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, restoring functionality for these games. However, players should note that the fixes require additional storage space: 230 MB for Origins and 500 MB for Valhalla. These updates are automatically applied via Steam.

While these fixes are welcome news, some Ubisoft games, notably Assassin's Creed Odyssey, remain affected by the Windows 11 24H2 update. Although previous patches mitigated issues in other titles like Star Wars: Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, performance problems may persist. Players experiencing difficulties with Odyssey are advised to postpone updating to Windows 11 24H2 until a dedicated patch is released.

The root cause of the incompatibility between the Windows update and these Ubisoft games remains unclear. The problem initially surfaced months ago during the preview phase of the 24H2 update, yet wasn't fully resolved before the official rollout. This is particularly concerning given Microsoft's push for Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11. Fortunately, the majority of games appear unaffected by this update.
