AFK Journey Tier List
A disclaimer: Most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, certain heroes are superior for challenging endgame content.
This tier list prioritizes versatility and performance across PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters
Lily May, a must-have Wilder, delivers substantial damage and utility. She counters Eironn teams in PvP and excels in AFK stages and Dream Realm.
Thoran remains the top F2P tank, especially before obtaining Phraesto (a luxury unit). Reinier is the premier support for both PvE and PvP, crucial for Dream Realm and Arena.
Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for various game modes. Odie is vital for Dream Realm and all PvE.
Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant F2P Arena team.
Tasi, a strong Wilder, offers versatile crowd control across most game modes. Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior, gains strength with each kill, making him formidable with investment.
A-Tier Characters
Lyca and Vala effectively utilize Haste, a critical stat boosting attack frequency and speed. Lyca provides party-wide Haste, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Lyca's PvP performance can be inconsistent.
Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.
Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm.
Alsa, a strong DPS mage, is a valuable addition to Eironn-based PvP teams, offering a more accessible alternative to Carolina.
Phraesto, a durable Hypogean/Celestial tank, lacks damage output. Prioritize Reinier first.
Ludovic, the first Graveborn healer, supports various team compositions and shines in PvP, especially with Talene.
Cecia, while a capable Marksman, has diminished late-game value due to the shifting Dream Realm meta and the arrival of Lily May.
Sonja significantly enhances the Lightborne faction, offering respectable damage and utility across all game modes.
B-Tier Characters
B-Tier characters are adequate for filling roles but warrant less investment. Replace them with A or S-Tier heroes as available.
Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie serves as a decent alternative tank to Thoran and Antandra.
Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays but less effective in other PvE modes.
Florabelle, a secondary DPS supporting Cecia, requires significant investment.
Soren, while decent in PvP, is outperformed in Dream Realm and other PvE content.
Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has decreased, making Odie the preferred DPS choice.
C-Tier Characters
C-Tier characters are quickly outclassed after AFK level 100. Focus on summoning better replacements.
Parisa, while possessing a powerful AoE attack, is easily replaced.
