KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Officially Shuts Down After 3.5-Year Run

Another gacha game bites the dust. KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially ended its service on January 30th. While a respectable 3.5-year run (compared to the Japanese version's 5 years), the game's closure marks the end of a chapter for fans.

A Solid Farewell

Despite declining revenue in recent times, the developers ensured a fitting send-off. The final weeks featured new voiced story content and a final song release just three weeks before shutdown. A farewell livestream in December even included Kazuma's voice actor.

The Japanese version went above and beyond, archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel. An offline version allows players to revisit the story, voice lines, and character collection. Unfortunately, the Global version lacks both an offline option and a dedicated archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel for a complete experience.

What's Next?

The developers have shifted their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game. While the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global community mourns its closure, the memory of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the crew will live on.
