To keep the game manageable and enjoyable, you can select your favorite buses as mods, allowing you to save space and personalize your experience. Older non-animated buses will be reintroduced as mods in the coming months.
In 2020, we launched our map modding system, a rare feature in mobile gaming. While map creation requires a computer, the maps can run smoothly on most mobile devices with sufficient RAM. As we shift our focus to custom map creation, the old routes will gradually become a thing of the past.
Proton Bus Urbano is FREE to play, with additional perks for our PAID USERS. You can enjoy the game indefinitely in its free version; we're not here just to make money. If you truly appreciate the project and its development, consider upgrading to a paid user to enjoy an ad-free experience and exclusive features like virtual mirrors, cruise control, and 360-degree screenshot capturing. Nearly all other features and buses are freely accessible.
This simulator prioritizes realism over gamification. Forget about points and checkpoints; simply choose your bus and drive. Given its complexity, there are numerous controls and settings to master. We recommend watching online tutorials or videos before diving in. Common issues can often be resolved easily—for instance, press 'N' before shifting gears to move the bus, and don't forget to release the parking brake. Be sure to read the settings descriptions carefully, as some options may work better on certain devices.
Proton Bus Urbano is available for both PC and Android. PCs offer superior graphics quality due to their powerful hardware. For optimal performance, a modern mid to high-end device with at least 4 GB of RAM is recommended. If the game doesn't run well on your device, try older versions or tweak the settings. There's a known issue with 64-bit Unity applications on Android; in such cases, downloading the 32-bit APK from our website may improve performance.

For testing advanced features, we use a Samsung Galaxy S9, while basic features are tested on a J7 Prime. The game is not suitable for older phones with less than 2 GB of RAM, though you can attempt manual installation via APK/OBB without any guarantees. - New mod installer! Installing mods is now much easier: after downloading the mod file, simply click to share or open with and select the game! This works for most buses and maps (up to phase 3 maps only in this version).
- Improvements to shadows (not perfect, but better).
- A new button to disconnect and delete the premium account, as required by the platform.
