Saber Interactive has reassured fans that all its previously announced projects remain in development, despite the lack of updates on high-profile titles such as the much-anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. This news comes shortly after the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, with Saber Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits taking to Twitter to affirm the studio's commitment to its lineup.
"Saber Interactive stands as one of the largest independent developers globally," Willits stated. "Our portfolio spans numerous games across various genres. Rest assured, everything we've announced is still in the works. We'll provide updates on our upcoming titles when we have exciting news to share."

The most pressing topic from Willits’ statement is undoubtedly the KOTOR remake, a project that has become one of gaming's most elusive endeavors. First announced in 2021, the highly anticipated remake has undergone multiple development transitions, seemingly paused and restarted several times, yet after four years, it remains unreleased.
In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the KOTOR project had been retained by Saber during its separation from Embracer Group, and that it was actively being developed. "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch stated at the time. "It's been reported numerous times. What I can say is that the game is alive and well, and we're committed to surpassing consumer expectations."
Willits’ recent comments, made almost a year after Karch's, reinforce the earlier assurance. However, despite these reassurances, no further details or footage of the KOTOR remake have been released since its initial announcement video.
In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive is also diligently working on several other titles. John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are slated for release in 2025, though specific dates have yet to be announced. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The latest addition to Saber's lineup is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. For more insights into which chapters and enemy factions might appear in this sequel, be sure to check out IGN’s dedicated article.
