Stellar Blade's Update Introduces Bugs, Hotfix on the Way
Stellar Blade's eagerly awaited Patch 1.009, which introduced the much-anticipated Photo Mode and a collaboration with NieR: Automata, has unfortunately brought along some game-breaking bugs. Players have encountered issues such as being softlocked during a main quest in an earlier dungeon and experiencing game crashes when using the selfie camera in Photo Mode. Additionally, some new cosmetic items are not rendering correctly on Eve.
Shift Up, the game's developers, are actively working on a hotfix patch to address these issues. They advise players against forcing quest progression, as this could result in permanent softlocks even after the patch is deployed. It's best to wait patiently for the hotfix to ensure a seamless gaming experience.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
Patch 1.009 not only includes fixes but also adds significant content. The collaboration with NieR: Automata, inspired by the game and driven by the creative synergy between Directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, brings 11 exclusive items to Stellar Blade. Players can find these items by interacting with the NieR character Emil, who has established a shop within the game's world.
The long-awaited Photo Mode has been added, allowing players to capture personalized snapshots of Eve and her companions in various poses. To enhance this feature, new photo challenge requests have been included to encourage creative use of Photo Mode. Eve also receives four new outfits and a new accessory, which can be unlocked after completing a specific ending, altering the appearance of Tachy Mode. Additionally, a "No Ponytail" option has been added to Eve's hairstyle settings, offering more customization possibilities.
The update also improves gameplay with lip-sync support for six additional voice-over languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various smaller bug fixes, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable experience for players.
