NetEase Games confirms a steady stream of new heroes for Marvel Rivals, promising a fresh character every six weeks. This commitment, revealed by Creative Director Guangyun Chen in an interview with Metro, ensures a continuous influx of content alongside seasonal updates.

Each three-month season will be divided into two halves, each introducing a new playable hero. Chen emphasizes the goal of consistently enhancing the player experience and maintaining community engagement.

"Every season will bring new storylines, maps, and heroes. We're splitting each season in half," Chen stated. "A new hero will launch with each half-season. Our aim is to continuously improve the game and keep our community excited."

This ambitious plan leaves players eagerly anticipating future releases. Season 1: Eternal Night Falls successfully launched with Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second. Maintaining this level of high-profile character introductions will be a significant ongoing challenge.

While the initial roster boasts popular characters like Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm, the potential hero pool is vast. Speculation points towards Blade in Season 2, with Daredevil, Deadpool, and other X-Men among fan favorites. NetEase's continued success suggests a strong commitment to expanding the roster.

Season 1 also included substantial balance adjustments and gameplay refinements, with further improvements planned for future updates. For more Marvel Rivals news, explore articles on Invisible Woman strategies against bots, the Hero Hot List, and the use of mods despite potential bans.
