How to Obtain Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, simply slaying and capturing monsters isn't enough to gear up fully. You'll also need to gather materials like Lightcrystals to forge your weapons and armor. Here's your guide to effectively farming Lightcrystals.

Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations

Lightcrystals in *Monster Hunter Wilds* are found at Mining Outcrops, though their drop rates can be quite random. Patience is key as you farm these valuable resources. Here are the prime locations to focus your efforts:

  • Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
  • Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
  • Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
  • Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5

Remember, after mining, Mining Outcrops take around 15 to 20 minutes to respawn. Use this time to explore other areas for different resources before returning to your Lightcrystal farming spots.

How to Use Lightcrystals

Once you've gathered enough Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. These crystals are essential for forging and upgrading various pieces of equipment. Here’s a list of items that require Lightcrystals:

  • Guild Knight Sabers I
  • Dragon Perforator II
  • Dual Hatchets II
  • Triple Bayonet II
  • Iron Assault II
  • Iron Gale II
  • Chain Blitz II
  • Iron Accelerator II
  • Hyperguard II
  • Buster Sword II
  • Iron Hammer II
  • Metal Bagpipe II
  • Chrome Drill II
  • Iron Katana II
  • Iron Beater II
  • Ingot Vambraces
  • Thunder Charm III

Keep in mind that, aside from the Thunder Charm, much of this equipment may become outdated quickly. It's wise not to get too attached, as you're likely to find better upgrades soon.
