Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features
Get ready for a wild ride! Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting new content to Battlegrounds. Expect new heroes, minions, cards, and significant gameplay adjustments.

Trinkets: Your New Power-Ups
Introducing Trinkets – powerful new enhancements! Fifty-six Lesser Trinkets and sixty Greater Trinkets are available, with some offering the possibility of stacking. These buffs appear on turns 6 and 9, offering four choices influenced by your hero and current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).
Marin the Manager: The New Hero
Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero! Marin's unique ability allows you to acquire a Trinket a turn earlier than usual, giving you a significant strategic advantage.
Minions: A Roster Refresh
Season 8 sees a minion refresh. While 41 minions are leaving the game, 22 fan favorites return alongside 27 brand new minions and 2 exciting Tavern spells.
New Cards: Strategic Additions
Four new cards are introduced, each adding a unique strategic element:
- Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
- Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Buffs your lower-tier minions.
- Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
- Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.
Marin Resort’s Treasure Hunt Event
From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort’s Treasure Hunt event! Complete the Event Quests to earn 14 total packs, including those from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang’s Workshop.
