Facing the Congalala requires constant movement due to its large size and agility. To minimize the impact of its potent breath attacks, avoid positioning yourself directly in front or behind the beast. The Congalala can execute powerful smashes with its hands, use its tail to whip around, and deploy breath attacks at a distance.

Focus your attacks on its breakable parts for maximum damage. Targeting the forelegs is advisable as it leaves the Congalala vulnerable for brief periods. For the head, tail, and rear, wait for the beast to consume a mushroom, which is easily noticeable, and then strike when it exhales gas from either its front or rear. If you avoid these attacks, you can safely attack these vulnerable areas.

Should you be affected by its fumes, quickly use deodorant or roll through water to cleanse the effects. Exploit the wounds you inflict by employing Focus Mode and Focus Strikes to deliver significant damage, effectively halting the Congalala's movements and countering its attacks.

Capturing the Congalala, like other monsters in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, requires weakening it first. Look for the skull icon on the minimap next to the monster and listen for cues from your character or other hunters indicating that it's on its last legs. Follow the Congalala to its resting spot where it attempts to recover. Prepare a Shock or Pitfall Trap, set it near the beast, and switch to Tranq Bombs. Awaken the monster, lure it into the trap, and once it's ensnared, throw 2 to 3 Tranq Bombs to successfully capture the Congalala.
