Destiny Child, the beloved game that first captivated audiences in 2016, is making a triumphant return after being converted into a 'memorial' in September 2023. Now, Com2uS has taken over from ShiftUp to revitalize and fully relaunch the game.
Is it Going to be the Same Game?
Com2uS has inked a deal with ShiftUp to craft a brand new version of Destiny Child, which will be an idle RPG. The development is spearheaded by Com2uS's subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for their work on tactical RPGs like Arcana Tactics. This new iteration of Destiny Child will be a fresh take, preserving the emotional essence and stunning 2D character art of the original while introducing novel mechanics to enhance the gameplay experience.
Have You Tried Out the Memorial?
Upon its initial release, Destiny Child quickly gained popularity thanks to its charming characters and engaging real-time battles. After nearly seven years, the game was officially discontinued. However, ShiftUp introduced a Memorial version of the app, allowing fans to relive the game's magic.
While the Memorial version does not include the full gameplay, it offers a nostalgic journey through the game’s beautiful character illustrations, allowing players to reconnect with their cherished Childs. Access to this version is exclusive to those who had accounts before the game's shutdown, requiring a verification code tied to previous game data. This special edition keeps the spirit of the Childs and their classes alive, even though you can't engage in battles anymore. If you have access, consider downloading it from the Google Play Store to enjoy the artwork until the new game launches.
