Curious about the new Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons are a late-game feature that lets you craft unique weapons with customizable stats and elements, tailored to your playstyle. Let's dive into everything you need to know about unlocking and crafting these powerful tools.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Weapons

To unlock the Artian weapon crafting feature, you must first complete the main story and reach High Rank. After that, you'll need to defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize this monster by the NPCs' comments on its toughness and numerous scars.

Once you've vanquished this formidable foe, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial on how to craft them. Each weapon type requires three components, and you need at least one of each to start crafting. However, the customization goes much deeper.

Each component has a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, the components must share the same rarity value. The elemental effect of your weapon is determined by the element that appears most frequently among your components. For example, using two water and one lightning component will result in a water weapon. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, but using three different elements will result in no elemental infusion at all.

The Artian bonus can either boost your attack or affinity. Attack increases the overall damage your weapon can deal, while affinity enhances your critical hit chance. Choose the bonus that aligns with your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need to gather Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Materials

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. After defeating your first Tempered monster, you'll start encountering one or two in each area. You'll receive notifications when they're nearby, and they're easily identifiable on the map by their blue outlines.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster will reward you with Artian parts, which you can find among the main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also increase, allowing for more advanced crafting. While there's no direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the specific Artian drops, you can focus on hunting monsters you enjoy fighting or those whose parts you need for other weapons or armor pieces.
