NetEase Games has officially announced that players using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles while playing Marvel Rivals will face account suspension. The company views this as a breach of their rules, as it provides an unfair advantage due to the enhanced control sensitivity and continued access to aiming assistance.
Adapters such as the XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable the simulation of gamepad inputs with a mouse and keyboard. This practice gives a significant edge in competitive play, particularly when auto-targeting features are in use.
NetEase clarified their stance, stating, "We define adapters as devices or programs that emulate gamepad control using a keyboard and mouse. This practice creates an imbalance in the game, especially in competitive modes."
To enforce this policy, NetEase has developed tools that accurately detect the use of such adapters. Accounts found in violation of these rules will be blocked.
In other news, it has been observed that in Marvel Rivals, a higher frame rate (FPS) can lead to increased ping. This effect may be subtle with low ping but becomes more noticeable with a sudden jump to 150 ms from a usual 90 ms, significantly impacting gameplay. This issue appears to be linked to the frame rate.
For now, the recommended strategy for players is to await a patch that might address this issue and experiment to find the optimal balance between FPS and ping. Some players suggest capping the FPS at around 90 for the best experience in Marvel Rivals, a suggestion that might seem unusual to fans of games like Counter-Strike 2, but is currently advised for Marvel Rivals.
