Known Habitats: Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Ruins of Wyveria

Breakable Parts: Tail and Forelegs

Recommended Elemental Attacks: Fire and Lightning

Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)

Effective Items: Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap

Using Flash Pods

Despite its size, Doshaguma is incredibly agile, making it a challenging target for melee weapons. Flash Pods are your friend here. A well-timed Flash Pod will temporarily blind the monster, giving you a precious window to attack or even mount it.

Targeting the Legs

Focus your attacks on Doshaguma's forelegs—a 3-star weakness—for maximum damage. While its back legs are a 2-star weakness, they're less effective targets. The head also boasts a 3-star weakness, making it another prime spot. Attacking the tail, while less damaging, is worthwhile as it's breakable, yielding extra monster parts.

Harnessing Fire and Lightning

Fire and lightning are your best elemental choices. Bowgun users should utilize Flaming and Thunder ammo. Equipping fire-enhancing decorations on your weapons will also boost your damage. For fire attacks, target the head and torso; for lightning, concentrate on the head.

Blastblight Awareness

Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, causing you to explode if the gauge fills or you receive a heavy blow. Nulberries or Deodorant will cure this, or you can try a quick dodge-roll (up to three times) to remove the effect.

Strategic Trap Usage

While brute force is tempting, utilize the environment. Doshaguma's roaming areas often contain natural traps. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger and ensure the monster is directly over the trap before activating it.

Instead of killing Doshaguma, you can capture it alive. Reduce its HP to 20% or less, then set a Shock or Pitfall Trap. Lure it into the trap using Luring Ammo or meat. Once trapped, use tranquilizer ammo—you may need several to subdue it.

That's your comprehensive guide to hunting and capturing Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. Remember to eat a hearty meal for beneficial buffs before the hunt!
