A delightful new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is on its way to Android! The name itself is a playful combination of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's quirky premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers at Team Woll did, and the result is a perpetually spinning, gravity-defying feline spectacle!
Initially conceived for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam, Cato: Buttered Cat received such positive feedback that it's been developed into a full-fledged game. Currently available on Steam for PC, an Android release is imminent. While the Google Play Store listing isn't yet live, you can pre-register via the official TapTap page.
Gameplay:
Cato: Buttered Cat is a charming puzzle platformer where you control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds brimming with quirky contraptions. Over 200 levels await, including side quests and hidden story elements. There are also 30 unique outfits to unlock!
The unique gameplay mechanic centers on the interaction between the cat and the toast. The cat possesses standard feline agility, while the toast functions as a controllable projectile. Power up the toast to propel it, enabling the cat to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
