Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator Global Announces EOS

Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator's global server is shutting down. Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games announced the end of service (EOS) for the global version of their RPG, just over a year after its January 2024 launch. The Japanese version, launched in September 2023, remains unaffected and is even preparing for its 1.5th anniversary in March 2025.

Atelier Resleriana EOS Date:

The global server will shut down on March 28th, 2025—ironically, the same month the Japanese version celebrates its 1.5th anniversary. Global players will conclude their journey at Chapter 21 (Part 1), while Japanese players progress to Chapter 22 (Part 2).

In-game purchases are already disabled, but remaining Lodestar Gems can be used until the shutdown. Koei Tecmo promises new content and events leading up to the closure. The global version's first anniversary was celebrated on January 25th, 2025, making the announcement even more bittersweet.

Reasons for Shutdown:

The developers cited an inability to maintain a satisfactory standard for players. The game struggled to gain traction, with player complaints surfacing about the gacha system just months after launch. While the main characters were well-received, issues with gameplay, monetization, and excessive power creep ultimately contributed to the decision to end the global service.

The game is still available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to play before the shutdown. For those seeking a new mobile gaming experience, consider checking out the current Sky: Children of the Light Lunar New Year 2025 event.
