The Emile suite of educational resources is a collaborative effort between experienced teachers, dedicated academics, and skilled game developers. Together, we've successfully provided games-based learning materials to over 15% of primary schools across the UK & Ireland. Our resources are grounded in solid pedagogical research and undergo rigorous testing by educators in real classroom settings.
Launched through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership and partially funded by Innovate UK, Emile was crafted in partnership with the Faculty of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. This multi-award-winning platform not only enhances learning outcomes for students in key stages 1 and 2 but also significantly reduces the workload for teachers, particularly when integrated with Emile's tailored schemes of work.
The development of Emile has been greatly influenced by feedback from UK teachers. This collaboration has led to the inclusion of several key features, including:
- A Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) Emulator with customizable time limits, question selection, and pacing options for students;
- A comprehensive spelling program focused on statutory spelling words;
- Assessments at the end of units and blocks that align seamlessly with the White Rose scheme of work;
- Tools designed to support intervention groups, featuring automatically generated analyses of knowledge gaps.
Emile is utilized by thousands of schools and multi-academy trusts nationwide, making it an ideal solution for homework, classroom activities, both formative and summative assessments, and targeted intervention groups. By integrating Emile into your educational strategy, you're not just enhancing student engagement and learning but also streamlining your teaching process.
