These events precede the Eggs-pedition Access, launching January 1st and running throughout the month. For $4.99, this pass unlocks numerous bonuses to enhance your Pokémon journey until January 31st. The in-game gifting system also receives a boost, allowing for up to 40 Gifts stored, 50 opened daily, and 150 collected from PokéStops.
What's in Store for Pokémon Go's New Year's 2025 Event?
The New Year's 2025 event in Pokémon Go runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While lacking new Pokémon, Shiny variants, or costumes, the event still offers enjoyable features.
Expect increased wild spawns of Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (in a party hat), all with boosted Shiny rates. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and festive fireworks.
Tier One raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while Tier Three raids star party-hat-donning Raticate and Wobbuffet, both with increased Shiny chances. Themed Pokémon will also appear in Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.
