Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Builds Functional Cruiser

A remarkably creative Tears of the Kingdom player has engineered a fully functional Zonai cruiser. The game's robust building system, allowing players to combine planks, Zonai devices, and shrine-acquired items, has inspired a wide array of creations, from simple rafts to sophisticated flying machines. Players are constantly pushing the boundaries, even attempting to construct functional war machines.

Early vehicle construction is highly recommended, as traversing Hyrule on horseback proves time-consuming. Air and ground vehicles dramatically enhance exploration, especially considering the expanded map of Tears of the Kingdom, encompassing the Depths and Sky Islands. Without a vehicle, complete exploration becomes nearly impossible.

Reddit user ryt1314059 showcased their impressive creation: a high-speed, highly maneuverable cruiser. This warship boasts two automatically targeting Zonai cannons, and exhibits exceptional agility in water, rapidly changing direction despite its size. Construction materials include planks, cannons, fans, homing carts, a battery, and railings, all readily available near the Construct Factory.

Impressive Player-Built Warship

The cruiser's design cleverly incorporates railings connecting cannons and planks, significantly enhancing maneuverability and torque for coastal exploration. Zonai fans, acting as propellers, provide wind-powered thrust. Most components are obtainable from Zonai device dispensers.

Tears of the Kingdom offers a diverse range of Zonai devices – fans, hover stones, steering sticks, etc. – each contributing unique functionality to player-built contraptions. These devices, crucial for solving puzzles scattered across the map, are most easily acquired using Zonai charges in the gachapon machines frequently found on Sky Islands.

Beyond Zonai devices and shrine rewards, the game's powerful abilities – Ultrahand, Recall, and Fuse – allow players to combine items creatively. Unlocked through shrine completion, these abilities are essential for constructing complex structures and attaching items to weapons and shields.
