Wuthering Waves' elemental system has evolved significantly in Version 2.0. While initially providing character buffs and enemy resistances, the update introduces Elemental Effects with more direct character interactions. This guide details these effects and their impact.
Elemental Status Effects and Debuffs:
All six elements now inflict unique status effects:
Elemental Effect | Effect Description |
---|---|
Havoc Bane | Stacks periodically, up to 2. At 2 stacks, all stacks are removed dealing Havoc DMG and reapplying to nearby characters. |
Glacio Chafe | Reduces movement speed per stack, up to 10 stacks which freeze the resonator. Players can "Struggle" to shorten the freeze duration. |
Spectro Frazzle | Stacks decrease periodically dealing Spectro DMG. More stacks = more DMG over time. |
Fusion Burst | Stacks up to 10, exploding upon reaching max stacks for significant Fusion DMG. |
Aero Erosion | Deals Aero DMG periodically. Stacks do not deplete to deal damage; more stacks = more DMG over time. |
Electro Flare | Reduces ATK based on stacks: 1-4 stacks (-5%), 5-9 stacks (-7% + Magnetized effect), 10 stacks (-10%). |
Dodging removes all effect stacks.
Resonators, Echoes, and Echo Sets:
Currently, Elemental Effect utilization is limited, primarily benefiting Spectro Rover:
- Spectro Rover: Post-Version 2.0 rework, Spectro Rover uniquely applies Elemental Effects. Its Resonance Skill's Resonating Spin variant applies 2 stacks of Spectro Frazzle, and the Shimmer effect prevents stack decay, allowing sustained effect buildup.
- Echo Set - Eternal Radiance: (2pc) +10% Spectro DMG; (5pc) Applying Spectro Frazzle increases Crit. Rate by 20% for 15s; 10 stacks grant a 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 15s.
- Echo - Nightmare: Deals Spectro DMG increased by 100% against targets with Spectro Frazzle; +12% Spectro DMG Bonus.
While the game hints at broader Elemental Effect integration, as of Version 2.0, its application remains largely focused on Spectro Rover and the Eternal Radiance Echo Set.
