This week, the Pocket Gamer App Army tackled the puzzle adventure A Fragile Mind from Glitch Games. Reactions were mixed. Some lauded the challenging puzzles and witty humor, while others found the presentation lacking.
A Fragile Mind blends classic escape room mechanics with humorous touches. We asked our App Army readers for their opinions, and here's what they had to say:

Initially, the game's icon led me to believe it would be dull. I was pleasantly surprised! The gameplay is unique and engaging, offering a fresh take on puzzle adventures. The puzzles are difficult but rewarding. It's one of the best puzzle games I've played. I highly recommend playing it on a tablet for the best experience.

This point-and-click adventure features static, pre-rendered graphics. While the narrative is unclear, the gameplay involves solving increasingly complex puzzles to navigate through the building's floors. Interestingly, you can progress without solving every puzzle on a given floor, and some puzzles require items obtained on subsequent floors. The game includes humorous meta-commentary, and while the hint system is generous, it's quite effective. Navigation can be slightly confusing at times. Overall, it's a strong example of the genre.

A Fragile Mind is a first-person puzzle adventure where you awaken in a building's garden with amnesia. Gameplay involves exploring, taking photos, and finding clues to solve puzzles. While graphics and sound are functional, the puzzles are challenging. It's a relatively short game with limited replayability. Recommended for puzzle adventure fans.

While I enjoy escape-room style puzzle games, A Fragile Mind falls short. The presentation is muddy, making puzzles difficult to discern. Poor UI design, particularly the menu button placement, adds to the frustration. The pacing is also off, with too many puzzles available from the start.

While I typically find puzzle games too difficult, I enjoyed A Fragile Mind. It features excellent audio/visual options, a pleasing aesthetic, intriguing puzzles, and a helpful hint system. A good, albeit short, experience. Recommended!

A Fragile Mind offers a layered puzzle experience, with numerous clues and puzzles interwoven throughout each room. It's challenging but rewarding, with clever humor and puns. It played flawlessly on my Android device and included excellent accessibility options. Highly recommended!
