Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games. Building upon the success of its 2019 predecessor, this roguelike deck-builder boasts enhanced features and a fresh adventure.
An open beta test on Steam runs from October 25th to 31st, offering a sneak peek for PC players. Mobile gamers will need to wait a little longer for their chance to plunder the seas. But before you embark, let's explore the exciting updates.
What Awaits in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a new hero with a backstory set years after the original game. He begins with pre-built decks and unique abilities, but that's just the beginning. The game introduces companions, each contributing their own special cards. A new card fusion mechanic lets you combine three identical cards into a more powerful one.
Deck progression is handled through an evolution tree, offering strategic choices for upgrading cards. Previously discarded cards now have upgrade potential. Relic acquisition has been revamped; instead of finding them after every battle, you'll discover them in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.
Battles feature a new Countdown system, influencing enemy actions. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "ReDraw" mechanic. A refined armor and shield system is also in place.

Ready to Set Sail?
Despite the new mechanics, the core gameplay of Pirates Outlaws remains. You'll still engage in deck-building, explore the seas, and conquer the Arena and Campaign modes. Familiar elements such as ammo management, melee-ranged-skill card combinations, curses, and diverse enemy types are all present. For further details, visit the official website.
