This portable media player doubles as a UPnP DLNA DMR (Digital Media Renderer), supporting a wide range of features. It accesses files via the user-managed Storage Access Framework (SAF).
The player boasts comprehensive SSA/ASS subtitle support, allowing users to add and manage their own fonts. Subtitles can be dimmed for optimal viewing with HDR and DV content, and font sizes are adjustable. Support for SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) subtitles is also included (version 5.1 and later). Subtitles can be embedded in MKV files or side-loaded, with support for single subtitle files or packages in Zip/7Z/RAR format.
Additional features include HDR/DV content playback, digital audio passthrough, MKV chapter navigation, frame-by-frame stepping, audio track selection and delay adjustment, subtitle selection and time offset adjustments, frame rate display, and automatic refresh rate adjustment. Pinch-to-zoom and on-demand video rotation are also available. Dolby Vision playback has been successfully tested on the Nvidia Shield TV 2019.
Initially designed for segmented file playback using m3u8 (HLS media list) format (originally for TS files, now also supports MP4 and FLV).
