Zelda's Own Game Will Also Let You Play as Link

Nintendo's upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, launching this September, promises a fresh perspective on the beloved franchise. A recent ESRB rating reveals a surprising twist: players will control both Zelda and Link!

Zelda Takes Center Stage (with Link's Help)

Zelda's Own Game Will Also Let You Play as Link

The ESRB listing confirms dual protagonists: Princess Zelda, in her first starring role, and the familiar hero, Link. Zelda will strive to seal rifts across Hyrule and rescue Link, utilizing a magic wand to summon creatures for combat (including wind-up knights, pig soldiers, and slimes). Link, meanwhile, will employ his classic sword and arrows. The game's E 10+ rating and absence of microtransactions ensure a family-friendly experience. Combat involves fire-based attacks and enemies dissolving into mist upon defeat.

This marks a pivotal moment for the Zelda series, placing Princess Zelda front and center. The game's popularity is undeniable, having quickly become a top wishlisted title following its summer showcase reveal.

Link's Role Remains a Mystery

While the dual-protagonist setup is confirmed, the extent of Link's playable segments remains undisclosed. Fans will have to wait until the September 26th, 2024 release date to discover the full story.
