Crazy Eights is a beloved card game enjoyed worldwide. It's also known by various names such as Mau-Mau, Switch, or 101, and was even released commercially as Uno.
This game is designed for 2 to 4 players. Each player receives five cards, or seven in a two-player match. The objective is to be the first to discard all your cards. Players take turns by matching either the rank or suit of the top card on the discard pile. If a player cannot make a valid match, they must draw from the stockpile until they find a playable card.
The game features special cards that add strategic depth. Aces reverse the play direction. Queens force the next player to skip their turn. Twos compel the next player to draw two cards, unless they can also play a Two—multiple Twos can stack. Finally, Eights allow the player who discards them to choose the suit for the next turn.
